Topcon TRC-NW200 Camera

The new TRC-NW200 Non-Mydriatic Retinal Camera combines Topcon’s years of experience in retinal imaging with the latest advances in digital and electronic technology. Innovative new features include:

• 33% Greater Resolution
The color chip has been upgraded from 2.3 to 3.1 Mega Pixels to provide superior detail of the retinal surface for all types of diagnostic needs, from disc evaluation for glaucoma to hypertension and diabetic retinopathy screening.

• Smaller Pupil Size
Allows high quality images with an even smaller 3.7mm pupil. A real benefit when managing patients on medications or with asymmetric pupils.

• Low Flash Intensity
The sensitivity of the new 3.1 Mega Pixel color chip works well even at a low flash intensity (3.3W). This results in better compliance with difficult patients.

• Auto Exposure
Topcon’s new AE (Auto Exposure) helps the operator by automatically adjusting the exposure to the necessary intensity for properly illuminated images.

• Wider Field of Coverage
The TRC-NW200 employs one central internal fixation target, two selectable nasal targets and two selectable temporal targets, allowing a wider retinal area to be observed.

• Thumbnail Image Display
The images can be shown in a thumbnail display (4-up, 9-up or 16-up configuration), allowing the operator to instantly view multiple images. This feature is especially useful when selecting images to be transferred to other media.

• IMAGEnet EZ Lite™ Software
The TRC-NW200 incorporates a convenient CompactFlash™ card and a USB 2 connection, for fast & easy image transfer to a Windows® PC. The TRC-NW200 can also be combined with our new IMAGEnet EZ Lite™ software for efficient data management.

Topcon combines the benefits of IMAGEnet™ Lite, a standard in powerful imaging software, and a Compaq PC with the Topcon TRC-NW6 or TRC-NW6S to assemble an easy to use color fundus screening package. The system incorporates the latest advances in digital imaging software with Topcon’s Non-Mydriatic retinal camera allowing a technician to perform highly accurate color-digital retinopathy screenings within a comfortable and easy to use platform. The TRC-NW6S comes with Topcon’s MOSAIC 2000 software, which allows a composite image to be quickly created for printout and/or evaluation. Low illumination assures patient comfort and compliance to make screening large volumes of test candidates fast and efficient. Since the captured images are digital they may be stored for future screening comparisons, E-mailed to a central patient database for more comprehensive study and/or printed directly to a digital printer for hard copy record keeping.
